Obituary for Amalia "Molly" Cooney (Minervini)

Amalia “Molly” Cooney (nee Minervini), 88, of East Rutherford for 56 years, passed away on November 2, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. For 10 years she was a secretary at Continental Can Co. in Jersey City and retired in 1957. After retiring, she was a dedicated homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Beloved wife of John J. Cooney. Loving mother of John Luke Cooney and his wife Debra, Nancy A. Joy and her husband William, Alice M. Cooney and the late William P. Cooney. Cherished grandmother of David Koger, Jennifer Cooney, Dermot Joy and Amalia “Molly” Joy. Dear sister of Robert Minervini, Victor Minervini and predeceased by Michael, Charles, Anthony and Albert. Visitation Sunday 2-6 PM at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Assumption Church, Wood-Ridge. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to E.P.I.C.
