Obituary for Chester Wasniewski

Chester Joseph Wasniewski, 86, of Carlstadt, NJ, since 1971, prior resided in Jersey City, passed away on April 9, 2018. Mr. Wasniewski served in the US Army, during the Korean War. For 36 years, he was a Stationary Engineer at Colgate-Palmolive in Jersey City, retiring in 1986. He was a parishioner of Assumption Church, Wood-Ridge, and a member of Wood-Ridge Memorial V.F.W. Post #3616. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Ann (nee Newsbaum) Wasniewski. Loving father of Thomas P. Wasniewski and David J. Wasniewski. Dear brother of Frank Wasniewski, the late Helen Russell, Adam Wasniewski and Alfred Wasniewski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral departing from Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 9:00 AM for a Funeral Mass at Assumption Church, Wood-Ridge at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Friday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
