Obituary for Ida Grasso (Miciele)

Ida Edith Grasso (nee Miciele), 96, of East Rutherford since 1961, passed away on April 15, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. For over 10 years, she was a customer service representative for UPS in Secaucus, retiring in the 1980’s. Mrs. Grasso was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society since 1945, a Past President serving two terms and former Treasurer for 11 years. She was also a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the East Rutherford Seniors serving as former Treasurer for 12 years. Ida loved going to Atlantic City, was a lifelong Yankee fan and Jets fan. Beloved wife of the late Frank Grasso. Loving mother of Francis Grasso and his wife Kaye, Marie Antoinette Oese and her husband Charles, Christine Uscher and her husband the late William Uscher and Sal Grasso and his wife Diane. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Grasso, Jason Grasso, Colleen Oese, Charles Oese, Jr., Cynthia Oese, Nicholas Grasso and great grandmother of Zachary Grasso, Caitlin Chua, Kyla Chua, Cole Oese and Simone Oese. She will be missed by her grand pug. Dear sister of the late Marie Antoinette Pairo. Devoted long time caregiver Patricia Paul. Funeral departing from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 9:30 AM for a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s R. C. Church, East Rutherford at 10:00 AM. Entombment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Inn, P.O. Box 3746, Philadelphia, PA 19125.
