Obituary for George Venturini

George Thomas Venturini, 86, a lifelong resident of Carlstadt, passed away on April 24, 2018. Mr. Venturini served in the U.S. Army. For close to 50 years, he was the proprietor of Aluminum Anodizing Inc. in Carlstadt until retiring. George was a member for over 50 years of the Carlstadt Fire Dept., Engine 3 and served as Chief for two terms. He was on the Hand Pumper Restoration Committee and an Exempt Fireman. George was a member of the Carlstadt Historical Society and the Carlstadt V.F.W. Post 3149. He was an avid artist for 60 years. Some of his paintings can be found in Carlstadt Borough Hall and he was commissioned to paint for various fire departments throughout the area. His hobbies included geology, stock car racing in the 1940’s and 1950’s and scuba diving. Beloved husband of the late Elaine R. (nee Kaminsky) Venturini. Loving father of Maryanne Shanahan and husband Kevin, George T. Venturini, Jr., Thomas Venturini, William Venturini, Diane Perine and husband Ken and Margaret Collette and husband Henry. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Cynthia, Jamey, Nicole, Staci, Stephanie, Jessica, Matthew, Lauren, Rebecca and Michael. Dear brother of the late James Venturini. A Funeral Service will be held at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Sunday 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carlstadt Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 6613, Carlstadt, NJ 07072.
