Obituary for Raymond A Monnett

Raymond A. Monnett, 68, a lifelong resident of Little Ferry, passed away on January 8, 2018. Mr. Monnett served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. For 40 years, he was a carpenter and the proprietor of Monnett Woodworking in Little Ferry. He was a member of the Little Ferry V.F.W Post 809 and played the tuba with the V.F.W. band, a member of The American Sokol in Little Ferry and was involved with the Little Ferry Little League. Raymond loved his flannel shirts, had the gift of gab and was known for his gentle kind spirit. Beloved father of Raymond K. Monnett, Danielle Blazejewicz and her husband Mark, Brianna Monnett and the late John J. Monnett. Cherished grandfather of Julia, Anthony, Damian and anticipating the birth of Dylan. Loving brother of Michele Monnett. Dear former spouse of Maria Monnett and Anna Pearce. Funeral departing from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 9:00 AM for a Funeral Mass in Assumption R.C. Church, Wood-Ridge at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visitation Thursday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
