My heart is broken. Barbara we grew up side by side our whole lives. You were my Irish twin - we were blood, but more importantly, we were friends. You're the only person that dared give me a black eye in a fight, but I gave you one right back. You loved the family so much and were always there to help. You stayed by my side when I was not expected to live. You drove me nuts and oh I am going to miss you so much. I promise we will watch out for Rob and the girls. I know we will see you again. Please give a hug and kiss to all those that wait for us. I will always love you my Bubbie. Your cousin forever - Theresa

Dear Rob, Meghan, Lauren, and family; Knowing Barbara was a completely unique experience! She was smart, funny, talked about all of you, and loved her Irish Heritage as she proudly wore her green for at least a week before St Patrick’s Day! But mostly she was a tiger when it came to a cause she believed in. As a member of the Board of Health with Barbara, many discussions took place about how she felt things could be better for our community. Many of them fierce and many filled with that great laugh you could hear down the hall. She was caring and kind yet direct. All of you were her priority. She loved you, her job, and the underdog. I am sorry you have lost your rock, your biggest supporter and the love she gave to you. I am glad to have known her, learned from her, worked on projects with her and laughed till our sides hurt. I am sorry she is gone. My sincere and heartfelt sadness for your loss. Eileen Milligan
