Latanya grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended and graduated from William J. Guste Elementary School and Mercy Academy High School. She was a very quick learner, industrious and very focused and won numerous academic awards. As a college student she attended Loyola University where she received a B.A. degree in Dental Hygiene. In her early years as a professional Dental Hygienist, she worked at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans and for Dr. Langston F. Reed.

Latanya previously taught at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, for the Dental Hygiene program. She was also an instructor for Dental Studies Institute, where she taught a variety of both dental training and continuing education classes. Latanya was also an instructor at Eastern International College, Dental Hygiene program and Fortis Institute, Dental Assisting program.
Latanya served as Secretary, to the New Jersey Dental Hygienist's Association (2016-18) at both the local and state level. She was involved in community service for the underserved, membership development and education. She volunteered many hours at oral health events. In October of 2018, at the State Dental Hygiene conference she was awarded the "Frances D. Fluhr Outstanding Service Award" and was chosen by the American Dental Hygienist's Association, the national association for Dental Hygienist's to attend, " Unleashing Your Potential", a leadership development program held in Chicago, IL in November of 2018. She was also active as a scout leader; Latanya was the Committee Chair for Troop 113 and Ship 911. She was an integral part of the scouting program. She was always willing to help the scouts and encourage their growth, development and advancement. As a home school mom, Latanya was considered a Local Support Group (LSG) representative for the homeschool group named Bridges. In addition, she was in leadership as a new member contact in the North Jersey Homeschoolers Association (NJHSA).
Latanya was a loving and selfless wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin and friend. Everyone knew her as a warm, friendly, and a strong woman of faith. She was always willing to help someone in some way and she never met a stranger. Latanya loved her family and friends dearly. She was affectionately referred to as Tanya by as family and friends. She will be truly missed, but not forgotten. Her beautiful spirit and smile will live on in all who cared about and loved her.

Lovingly dear sister of Tomeka Oubichon, Joseph Condoll, Jr., Kelly Condoll, and the late Jock R. Oubichon. Daughter-in-law of the late Joseph Williams, Sr. and Jeraline Williams and Amanda V. Sweet Aunt to Ariel, Gabrielle, Darryl, Jr., Aaliyah, Camryn and Julius, Jr. and delightful cousin to Nedra, Maurice, and Lilliene Cook, Donielle and Don McGhee, Jr., Patrick, Brandie, and Ashley Morgan and a host of great cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Interment Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Clifton. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM.
